چکیده
Recent changes in the design of enemy threats such as submarines and technological achievements sensor development have paved way for multistatic sonar applications, which increase security situational awareness underwater tactical operations. Previously, coverage networks (MSSN) was studied using Cassini ovals traditional detection model two dimensions without any discussion practicability feasibility terms conditions related to acoustic propagation environment. In this study, a practical three-dimensional MSSN channel is proposed. The proposed covers spectral variation absorption loss, ambient noise, sound speed profile, shadow zones. realistic effects environmental are modeled evaluated Lybin, well-known performance prediction tool. Using model, number source-receiver pairs required cover volume calculated. impacts frequency, source-to-receiver distance, source level investigated. results compared oval models via an error expression derived according our verified model. reveal that inclusion characteristics leads huge levels 4700000% 170000% depending on frequency. Thus, applicability these deployment scenarios limited.

Multistatic Scatter Radio Sensor Networks for Extended Coverage
Scatter radio, i.e., communication by means of reflection, has been recently proposed as a viable ultra-low power solution for wireless sensor networks (WSNs). This work offers a detailed comparison between monostatic and multistatic scatter radio architectures. In monostatic architecture, the reader consists of both the illuminating transmitter and the receiver of signals scattered back from t...
متن کاملCoverage Maximization for Multistatic Sonar Location under Budget Restrictions
A multistatic sonar system consists of one or more sources that are able to emit underwater sound, and receivers that listen to the reflected sound waves. Knowing the speed of sound in water, the time when the sound was sent from a source, and the arrival time of the sound at one (or more) receiver(s), it is possible to determine the location of surrounding objects. The propagation of underwate...
متن کاملAdvances in Multistatic Sonar
Although the concept of multistatic active sonar (MAS) has been around for over 50 years, new trends have brought this technology to the forefront of anti-submarine warfare research. These trends include advancements in sonar sensors and signal processing, advancements in submarine stealth, and a desire to track targets in noisy and reverberant environments, such as near-shore or shallow waters...
متن کاملImproving Energy-Efficient Target Coverage in Visual Sensor Networks
Target coverage is one of the important problems in visual sensor networks. The coverage should be accompanied with an efficient use of energy in order to increase the network lifetime. In this paper, we address the maximum lifetime for visual sensor networks (MLV) problem by maximizing the network lifetime while covering all the targets. For this purpose, we develop a simulated annealing (SA) ...
